No Ko Rok trip on Sunday 10 November

November 9th, 2013  |  Published in Latest News

This Sunday’s Ko Rok trip has been cancelled as there is a very important meeting happening on Ko Lanta that Freedom Adventures will be attending.
There are plans to reopen a Coal Power Station near Krabi Town. The coal is bought from Indonesia and carried by large ships to then be docked just off the Southern tip of Ko Lanta. The coal will then be transported on to smaller barges and approx 20 barges every day will travel up the west coast of Ko Lanta, past Ko Phi Phi an din to the mangrove rivers of Krabi Town to its final destination.

Everyone is welcome ot this meeting so if you are already here on Lanat think about coming along. You can also help support our protest by signing this online petition,
